At what age should our kids be allowed to have their own cell phones? When is it appropriate for them to begin using social media? Read what the folks at Love and Logic have to say on this topic. Ready for Cell Phones, Social Media, etc: At What Age?
We’ve had an amazing first week with our Fuel Our Rocket campaign! We’ve added another $990 to our direct drive goal. The following classes for each grade level are the front runners for a treat on February 13. For each $10 donated, your class will receive a rocket. Donations are accepted until February 7. Thank you for supporting your Peeples PTO!
- Kindergarten – Dee ($110)
- First Grade – Dick ($60)
- Second Grade – Boyle ($70)
- Third Grade – Donadeo ($120)…Fulmer is in a close 2nd place with $100
- Fourth Grade – Jones ($120)
- Fifth Grade – Borders ($100)
Did you know that over a million young people experience homelessness in the US and Canada every year? Guess what item they most often request – a pair of jeans! This is an essential clothing item because it can be worn multiple times between washes, and it can be dressed up or down.
Between January 21 and February 5 our K-Kids Club is sponsoring a gently used jean drive. You can drop off gently worn jeans to Mrs. J. Collins’ First Grade classroom. Every pair of jeans donated will be sent to a local homeless shelter or charity that serves young people. Jeans can be any size – kids, youth, or adult. Aeropostale will match every pair of jeans we donate.
No only are we helping others in need right in our own community, but we are also competing against other elementary schools. The top collecting elementary school will get a $5000 grant for their school.
To thank you for helping, Aeropostale will give you a $5 shopping card when you make a donation.
