FCBOE County Technology Services Planned Network Outage Saturday, September 5

 fcboeAll Fayette County School System Technology Services and Networks will  be UNavailable beginning approximately  8 am on Saturday, September 5, for installation of additional equipment including a backup generator  for use in electrical outages.  All Technology services and networks will be available again as soon as the installation is completed . Technology Services will be on-site once hook-up is completed to bring all equipment and services back online.  This will affect access to Infinite Campus/other resources that requires county servers to authenticate.  We apologize for any inconvenience and we appreciate your patience as we enhance our service ability.

Labor Day Holiday Monday, September 6

labor13All Fayette County schools and county offices will be closed on Monday, September 7, in honor of Labor Day.  We’ll see students again on Tuesday, September 8.  Have a fun and safe long weekend with family and friends!

Scrip Orders Due Tuesday, September 8

scripOur next Scrip order will be this coming Tuesday, September 8.  Remember to place your online orders and return SCRIP paper forms on Tuesday.  Support Peeples by purchasing gift cards to locations where your family already shops regularly and a portion of the gift card purchase comes back to Peeples!

PTO Meeting September 10

Patriot Day is next Friday (9/11) Wear Red, White, Blue

Teddy Bear Tea

Teddy_Bear_TeaKindergarten will enjoy their annual Teddy Bear Tea on Friday, September 11.  We know they will have a lovely time!

Cape Day for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta

Cape DayWe will be having Cape Day on Tuesday, September 15. Students who would like to wear a cape for the day can bring in a $1 donation to support Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. CHOA is celebrating their 100th anniversary to support all of their “superhero” patients. For more information about Cape DayATL, click here!

Box Tops Collection on September 25

BoxTopOur next Box Tops for Education collection deadline is September 25.  Please continue to collect Box Tops and Labels for Education and attach them to the form sent home with your child (can be in zip lock bag).  Send them with your child to hand to his/her classroom teacher.  Susan Farrell, our PTO parent volunteer, will take care of submission.  Peeples has already earned over $600 from Box Tops that Susan submitted from spring/summer carry over! Keep clipping!  Prizes awarded to the classes with the most collected!

Peeples Volunteer Mandated Reporter Required Training

volunteer needed imagesDo you plan to volunteer in our school this year?  All volunteers must complete “Mandatory Reporter Training.”  The training video can be found on our website under the “Quick Links” on the right-hand side of the home page.  You can also click on this link – Mandatory Report Training  After watching the short video, click on the survey link to let us know you’ve completed the training. If you have watched the training video in the past, you will need to do the process again. Thank you for supporting Peeples and being a Peeples volunteer!

Gail Frantz Fayette County Teacher of the Year!

1_teacher_300CONGRATULATIONS to our own Peeples Elementary Teacher of the Year  Gail Frantz who was also selected as Fayette County Teacher of the Year!  We are so proud of her receiving the recognition she so deserves as a fabulous teacher with a great sense of humor, an open heart, and a great love for children and teaching!
